Denver Limousine Service Guidelines For Designing Your Day
The following are some general guidelines and things to avoid to ensure that your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible.
The Limousine
-
A ten passenger is equipped to handle 10 average sized adults.
Larger adults will need more room and thus reduce seating capacity.
We cannot, and will not exceed the legal weight ratings of any of our vehicles! This is both for your safety and for us to maintain our professional integrity. - Children require a seat just as an adult would. According to state Law children under 4 years of age and 40 pounds require a car seat. (Note) We DO NOT provide car seats.
- Wedding dresses can take up an extra seat but can also be worked around fairly easily.
- Elderly people may need to sit next to a door to help them load and unload more easily and may still require assistance.
- Groups larger than 10 usually do not have to be at the church/venue at the same time. Using the smallest vehicle possible can save you money. If bridal party is large, we can use 2 vehicles to trasport your bridal party.
The Photographer
- Taking pics is often more time consuming than you think. Plan at least 45 minutes for each photography session (consult your photographer)
- To help reduce time with the picture taking process tell all of the bridal party to stay close during the picture sessions. Even if they are told they are done they may be needed for one more missed shot.
- Some pictures can be taken prior to the wedding and, in fact, most photographers prefer
to do it this way.
For example the Brides and Bridesmaids pictures are first. Then they can hide and the Groom and Groomsmen can have their pictures done. The group pictures are taken after the ceremony. (Note) This type of a schedule is very efficient. It allows us the necessary time to transport the Bride and Bridesmaids to the church and then, while their pictures are being taken, we can transport the Groom and Groomsmen to the church. After the Groomsmen are done with their pictures the wedding is ready to start. - Plan about 45 minutes after the ceremony to take family photos.
- Photographers usually like to arrive at the reception prior to the Limousine so they can set up for pictures as the car approaches. Plan about 15 minutes extra transportation time and tell the chauffeur to cruise before going to the reception hall. (Time Permitting)
The Ceremony
- Receiving lines typically take between 1 to 1 1/2 minutes per person greeted.
- The Fake Leave - After the ceremony. (Note) Many times the Bridal party would like the big sendoff from the church however, by the time the picture session is done most if not all of their friends and family have left the church. One way to combat this is to do a fake sendoff. After the ceremony and receiving line is done the bride and groom run to the car amidst the bubbles and the birdseed, leave the area. We cruise for 10 minutes and then return to the church for photographs.
The Reception
- Photographers usually like to arrive at the reception prior to the Limousine so they can set up for pictures as the car approaches. Plan about 15 minutes extra transportation time and tell the chauffeur to cruise before going to the reception hall. (Time Permitting)
- A Grand Sendoff about 30 minutes before the actual end of the reception is easier, quicker and generally comes off better than waiting until the very end of the reception. Your friends and family are more likely to be present as you leave in a stylish limousine and then the assigned parties can begin the cleaning and closing up.
Other Things To Consider
- Are you planning a bachelor or bachelorette party? Ask about our discounts.
- Would you like to transport the bridal party to a beauty salon to get ready for the wedding?
- Allow wiggle room between each event - Plan an extra 15 minutes between all events whenever possible. If you schedule events too tightly and one runs a bit long, your entire day can be thrown off schedule. This is especially true when it comes to your wedding day transportation. We have no control over weather, traffic or road conditions.
- How early should all parties be at the church? How early can you get into the church or venue?
- Parents are a very important part of your day. To give them a special treat arrange to transport them to and from the wedding in a stretch limousine. This is a nice way for them to sit back relax and reflect on a day that is just as stressful and joyous for them as it is for you.
Things to avoid
- Don’t shake the champagne. It may seem like fun but what a sticky mess! $$$
- Grape juice, cranberry juice, cool aid... (Anything that can stain)
- Greasy and oily spots on door hinges and other surfaces. (Ours are always clean!)
- How early should all parties be at the church? How early can you get into the church or venue?
- FIREWORKS!!! Wedding gowns are generally flammable and, as a rule, don’t like things like open flames, sparklers and other spark emitting devices.
In your journey together so far you have demanded the best.
